The red flowering gum (Corymbia ficifolia) from the coastal regions of the far south west of WA is one of the most spectacular flowering tree.

The soft blooms of stamens stand up out of the hypanthium (cup) of the flower attracting birds native bees, marsupial, to taste and drink the nectar of these flowers. The display of flowers can be so prolific that they can obscure the leaves and branches of this tree.

A beautiful natural form in the trunk and branches with strong elongated dark green leaves with pink red outline. Only growing between 4 to 7 m tall and 4 to 5 m wide depending on environment.
